Fallen tree knocks out power to F’ville City Hall

Skies were calm in the late morning hours July 27 but that did not stop a large oak tree from somehow breaking off and toppling power lines before it came to rest across Lee Street at the intersection with Johnson Street in Fayetteville. Crews from the city and Ga. Power worked into the afternoon to clean up the blocked intersection and restore power to City Hall and area businesses that lost power after the tree fell.
