Corinth Road Fire Station # 9 opens

The Coweta County Commission last week approved a few last minute change orders that coincided with the opening earlier this week of the county’s new $1.29 million Corinth Road Fire Station #9.

Essentially a state of the art facility, the large Corinth Road facility had a final price tag of $1,290,847. Along the way a total of approximately $80,000 in change orders were approved by the commission.

Fire Chief Johnny Teeters recommended, and the commission July 20 approved, $5,722 in change orders that included metal ceiling framing work, an additional water line to the laundry room and other minor work.

The new fire station is located on Corinth Road and Bohannon Road west of Newnan.
