Eleonore A. Walters, age 87 of College Park

Mrs. Eleonore A. Walters, age 87 of College Park, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Dogwood Assisted Living in Stockbridge, Ga.

Mrs. Walters was born in Germany on November 20, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Charlotte Ehrt; husband, Hiram Atwood Walters.

She was a former real estate agent/broker with Century 21 in South Fulton and Fayette County. Mrs. Walters was a member of the Toast Masters, and a volunteer at Christian City. During her husband's career in the military, she volunteered in many of the organizations and other programs including officer's wife club, and she was a water safety instructor and avid bridge player.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Christine Walters, Susan Holt, Annette and George Christiansen, Lori and Russ Vermillion, Linda and Robbie Lynch; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Eleonore A. Walters will be on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.

Following the visitation, funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel. Reverend C. C. Hinton will officiate. Interment will be on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center E., Suite 3550, Atlanta, Ga. 30346 in memory of Mrs. Walters.
