A large crowd is expected Saturday for the open casting call for “Ant-Man” and the casting company is urging potential extras to pre-register to cut down on the wait times. In order to make the process more efficient, New Life Casting said people should pre-register by going to http://goo.gl/ETsds7 and complete the information form.

The casting call runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug 16 at 503 Sandy Creek Road in Fayetteville. The casting call is for extras 18 years and older and is being held at the old Rivers Elementary School. The company urges residents not to attempt to enter the studio lot, but enter the school building through the side entry in the bus parking area. The company also encourages you to to come dressed as some of the roles the company is filling, including Ravers, businessmen/women, lab technicians, homeless, police officers, security officers.

Now here is an idea. For five bucks, you can park in that field across from the studio, the 2 golf cart guys will come pick you up and drop you off door to door. Tips optional. Twenty bucks for out of county tags, of course.

Think I will do a drive-by on the way to and from my Sat. errands. It might be interesting to see. I'll watch out for those illegal golf cart drivers.

going to get your raver duds on and line up. Shucks. When I wave going by, be sure to wave back, ohhkay? Michael Douglas has agreed to meet for a golf cartini if you will take him for a ride around the former lake on your golf cart. He has his own clubs, too.

Rubeernecking...is that hollywoodspeek for rubbernecking? You know, like dahhhling, for darling. Or maybe a tribute to (rip) Robin Williams like 'Good moooorningggg Vietnammmmm"....Or maybe a frosty beverage is included on the gawking tour out there? Very subtle, but I like it.

My parents always said the same thing when they bought us a new toy: “Follow the instructions and you won’t get hurt.” If you’re a regular reader of this column, you already know normally we didn’t
