Fayetteville Christian Church celebrates 40 years this Sunday

Fayetteville Christian Church will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Aug. 28 with a meet and greet at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 and a Pitch-in lunch starting at 12:30 p.m. Special guests and former ministers expected to attend include Jack Fawley, David Chapman, Bob Mahan, Daniel Overdorf, and Dan Roberts.

Fayetteville Christian opened its doors in January of 1971. There were five founding families when the church first opened, one of which still remains a member today. Audrey Bates and Julie Stubbs are the only remaining charter members at Fayetteville Christian Church.
