Rotz anniversary

Roy and Jane Rotz of Peachtree City will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on August 31, 2010.

Originally from central Illinois, they were married in 1940 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Rotz worked for Douglas Aircraft Company for 37 years, which required many moves across the country. Following his retirement, the couple moved to Peachtree City in 1985 to be near family and golf courses.

They will celebrate with their daughters and their families including: Cindy and David Williams of Fayetteville, Lorie and Mark Curtiss of Atlanta, Linda and Don Johnson of San Diego, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Georgia Department of Labor announced this week that the unemployment rate in the Three Rivers region in July was 7.1 percent, up five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.6 percent in June.
