Boot drive returning soon to PTC

Staff at the Peachtree City Fire Department are preparing to crank up their annual “boot drive” to collect funds for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.

The boot drive will take place Friday, Sept. 7 through Sunday, Sept. 9 at local shopping centers between 9 am. to noon and again from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Firefighters will be stationed at the Kedron Village shopping center, the Braelinn Village shopping center, the Peachtree Crossings East shopping center and the Peachtree City Walmart.

Funds raised will help the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, a non-profit group that provides fire safety and prevention education and also supports medical facilities and assists burn survivors in their recovery.
