Spelling Bee in PTC next Tuesday

The 4th annual Peachtree City Spelling Bee, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Peachtree City City Hall, $15 for county residents, $22.50 for out of county, open to students enrolled in grades 3-8, including homeschooled students. This is a fun and local competition so children do not advance on to district or state, it is just a fun competition for bragging rights and a nice sized trophy, and prizes. If you would like to register please call 770 631-2542 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Advance registration is required and the deadline to enroll is Monday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m.

The Starr's Mill Panthers boys golf team finished fourth in Monday's AAAAA state tournament. The McIntosh Chiefs finished eighth as a team. Cambridge won the team title with a +6 (290).
