Two-day lecture on the Book of Psalms set for Sept. 29-30

National Heights Baptist Church will host a special, two-day academic lecture on the Book of the Psalms Sept. 29-30.

Mercer University’s professor of Old Testament and Biblical Languages, Dr. Nancy L. deClaisse’-Walford, will speak Saturday at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of National Heights Baptist Church on Psalms of Lament and again on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. on Psalms of Thanksgiving.

She will also preach from the Psalter at 11 a.m. during worship.

The focus is on how the Psalms can still speak into individual lives today.

There will be a dessert reception on Saturday night and a special potluck luncheon following the Sunday service.

For more information contact the church office at 770-461-1704 or at nationalheights@yahoo.com. National Heights is on the corner of Sandy Creek Road and Ga. Highway 54.
