A little help, Mr. V.P.

Politico.com and other news media report that Vice President Joe Biden criticized GOP veep nominee Paul Ryan’s Medicare proposal, warning that Republicans would turn the healthcare system for seniors into “Vouchercare.”

Biden said, “My mom was a smart woman. But, my mom, I can’t picture handing her a voucher at age 80 and saying — you go out in the insurance market and you figure out what’s best for you.”

No, sir, Mr. Vice President, I don’t think most of us would lay that project on our elder folks. But, perhaps you could picture YOU helping her with it, rather than requiring her to depend on a system going bankrupt.
