Esther R. Wheelock, age 94, formerly of Peachtree City

Esther R. Wheelock, age 94, of Kennesaw, Ga. (formerly of Peachtree City) passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

A native of Troy, Ohio, Mrs. Wheelock retired to Peachtree City with her husband, the late William Wheelock, in 1985. She was a registered nurse, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City. She was an accomplished golfer well into her 80’s. She also enjoyed bridge and bowling.

Survivors include: 2 sons: Jeffrey (Deborah) Wheelock, Kennesaw, Ga. and William (Elaine) Wheelock, Pittsfield, Mass.; 5 granddaughters and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
