Lecture on the Book of Psalms set for Sept. 29-30 at NHBC

National Heights Baptist Church in Fayetteville will host a special, two-day academic lecture on the Book of the Psalms Sept. 29-30.

Mercer University’s professor of Old Testament and Biblical Languages, Dr. Nancy L. deClaisse’-Walford, will speak Saturday at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary on Psalms of Lament and again on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. on Psalms of Thanksgiving. She will also preach from the Psalter at 11 a.m. during worship.

The focus is on how the Psalms can still speak into individual lives today.

The church will host a dessert reception on Saturday night and a special potluck luncheon following the Sunday morning service.
