McIntosh is 4-0, Starr's Mill and Sandy Creek also win

McIntosh 48, Drew 40: Andrew Johnson ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yarder, and threw scoring passes to Victor Nguyen, Josh Ange, and Sean Ingram. The two teams combined for 1,093 yards of total offense. The Chiefs (4-0) play Mundy’s Mill next Friday at Twelve Oaks Stadium.

Whitewater 36, Union Grove 19: The Wildcats (3-1) won their first region game of the season and will play Forest Park Thursday at Southern Crescent Stadium.

Starr’s Mill 49, Mt. Zion 22: The Panthers evened their overall record at 2-2 with a win in their first region game of the season. They host Drew next Friday.

Sandy Creek, Fayette County and Landmark were off this week. The Patriots host the Tigers next Friday, while the War Eagles travel to Mt. Vernon for a Saturday afternoon game.

The Starr's Mill Panthers boys golf team finished fourth in Monday's AAAAA state tournament. The McIntosh Chiefs finished eighth as a team. Cambridge won the team title with a +6 (290).
