Kerns-Cottingham engagement

Retired Colonel and Mrs. Kevin J. Kerns of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Katherine Kerns, to John Babcock Cottingham, son of Dr. and Mrs. James A. Cottingham of Douglas, Georgia.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Rolla High School in Rolla, Mo. She received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech in 2005, and her master’s degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006. She currently works as a project manager for the Department of Defense.

The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Coffee High School in Douglas. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech in 2004, and his MBA from Georgia Tech in 2009. He currently works as a consultant with North Highland.

The couple will be married March 5, 2011, and will reside in Atlanta.
