Birmingham mission

High school youth at Word of God Lutheran Church in Peachtree City spent five days in Birmingham, Ala. this summer on a mission trip. While there they worked in food pantries, community restoration and revitalization projects, disaster relief centers, local churches, children’s centers, and Habitat for Humanity projects. In the evenings they were able to tour historical sites in Birmingham such as the Vulcan statue and the Civil Rights Museum. Shown at the Vulcan statue in Birmingham are (L-R) Madeline McDonald, Rachel Moore, Logan Ruck, Helena Resler, Olivia Laaker, Shelby Durden, Meagan Lennon, Connor Ruck, Nikki Resler, Andrew Helvig, Charlotte McDonald, and Ilze Apfel.
