Apple trip on tap for B-Acts group

The B-Acts group (seniors 50 and older) at Flat Creek Baptist Church between Fayetteville and Peachtree City will travel to north Georgia for lunch and apple shopping on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The bus will leave the church at 9 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m.

The cost is $6 for family style lunch at Pat’s Kountry Kitchen. Price includes tax and gratuity.

The group will stop at Mercier’s Apple Barn, a favorite stop among apple barn lovers. Merciers’s offers all types of apples, baked goods, canned goods, gifts, etc.

Deadline to sign up is this Sunday, Oct. 3. Sign up at the church or call the church office, 770-487-4890.

Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 8, at about 9 p.m. and continue through the night to modify existing lane configurations at the intersection of Newnan Crossing Bypass and Hwy.
