GriefShare, Divorce Care to offer seminars at PTCUMC Nov. 3

Surviving the Holidays will be the theme on Nov. 3 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, when Grief Share and Divorce Care offer simultaneous seminars.

For many, in past years the approaching holiday season may have been a time of great anticipation and excitement. But this year, the prospect of facing the holidays without a loved one may cause anxiety and dread.

Surviving the Holidays seminars are warm, encouraging and helpful events.

Featuring video instruction and group discussion, they help deal with the intense pain of grief, separation and/or divorce during the holiday season. Participants will also receive a personal Holiday Survival Guide.

“It is important for everyone to have a ‘safe’ place to go where people understand what you are feeling,” a spokesperson said. “One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself (and your family) this Christmas is to take care of your physical, emotional and spiritual needs. This can be a turning point for you when you join others in a support group during the holidays.”

To adequately prepare for the seminars, an RSVP is appreciated but not required. For details, contact the church office, 770-487-6499, or visit the church website. www.ptcumc.org
