Massey named pastor emeritus at Church of the Holy Cross

Bishop David Epps has announced that The Rev. Canon Paul Massey has been installed as pastor emeritus at Church of the Holy Cross in Fayetteville.

Massey and his wife, Dr. Judy Massey, started Church of the Holy Cross with five people (including themselves) nine years ago. Since then the church has grown to around 22 members and regular attendees, has an outreach at a local assisted living facility, and presents regular seminars, classes and educational classes for the community.

Massey will continue to serve in his present capacity as Canon to the Ordinary, as a member of the Mid-South Diocese Bishop’s Council, the Provincial Archbishop’s Council and the Commission on Ordained Ministry.

He will also continue writing the popular column “Ask Father Paul” which appears in the Fayette Citizen newspaper.

He will also continue as a volunteer chaplain for the Peachtree City Police Department.

Dr. Judy Massey will continue heading the Mid-South Diocese educational efforts for laity and clergy.

The Masseys will continue to make their church home at Church of the Holy Cross.
