One more night of auditions for Christmas play based on Sams novel

Southside Theatre Guild is having one final night of auditions for “Christmas Gift,” adapted by David Thomas from the novel by Ferrol Sams, Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. Auditions will be held at Southside Theatre Guild, 20 West Campbellton St., Fairburn, Ga.

The year is 1975.  The play is performed in narrative form, the style is that of chamber theatre, with the actors telling the story to the audience.  At times the four main characters (Sambo-Dr.Ferrol Sams-and his three sisters, Jimme Kate, Janice and Sarah) become other characters for the Sams’ family and friends as well as the other versions of themselves at various stages of their lives. 

Performance dates are Dec. 1-4 and 8-11, 8 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays.
