Mr. Lawrence "Larry" K. Whalley, 77, of Peachtree City

Mr. Lawrence "Larry" K. Whalley, of Peachtree City, died October 8, 2010.

He was born in Danvers, MA on December 19, 1932. He enjoyed a career as a pilot in the United States Air Force, serving for a year in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, he flew for FedEx for 20 more years. He enjoyed traveling, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Babs Whalley; four sons Eric, Greg, Kevin, and Matthew; nine grandchildren Erika, Erin, Matthew, Nicholas, Katie, Jonathan, Parker, Holland, and Jacob; sister Margaret Shapiro and many nieces and nephews. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was loved and respected by all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Jimmy Adams officiating. A private burial will be held later. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM.
