Candidates pitch positions at Chamber of Commerce gathering

Candidates in the upcoming elections for Fayetteville, Tyrone, and Peachtree City had an opportunity to introduce themselves at a meeting held by the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. It was held at the chamber’s office in the old courthouse building.

Fifteen candidates are running in the three municipalities and only Fayetteville mayoral candidate Greg Clifton and Peachtree City candidates Steve Allen and George Dienhart were no-shows at the Chamber event.

Each candidate was given two minutes to make their case to be elected. Incumbents seeking to be returned to office include Fayetteville Mayor Ken Steele, Fayetteville Councilman Wilson Price and Peachtree City’s Eric Imker. Tyrone’s Eric Dial has been a councilman but is now running for mayor.
