Carts go spooky for good cause

Hundreds of people stopped by the first Monster Golf Cart Rally at the Aberdeen Village Shopping Center on Sunday afternoon. The event was a fundraiser for a Team in Training endurance event to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There were 17 golf carts decorated in various spooky styles. Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 8, at about 9 p.m. and continue through the night to modify existing lane configurations at the intersection of Newnan Crossing Bypass and Hwy.
