Polo-Wheeler Engagement

Jack and Cindi Polo of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Way Polo, to 1st Lt Corey Matthew Wheeler, son of John and Lucie Wheeler of Savannah, Ga.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of McIntosh High School, and will graduate in December from Samford University in Birmingham Ala., with a degree in Nursing.

She will commission as a 2nd Lt in the United States Air Force upon graduation and will be stationed in San Antonio, Texas.

The groom-elect is a 2006 graduate of Benedictine Military School and 2010 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point N.Y., with a degree in Economics.

Corey is a Chinook pilot in the United States Army and is currently stationed in South Korea.

Their wedding is planned for March 23, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Savannah, Ga.

The Georgia Department of Labor announced this week that the unemployment rate in the Three Rivers region in July was 7.1 percent, up five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.6 percent in June.
