Dr. Sams will speak Wednesday on Thanksgiving, memories

The community is invited to join members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Wednesday night, Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. for a special Thanksgiving evening with Dr. Ferrol Sams Jr. speaking on the beauty of family and Thanksgiving and the importance of memory.

“Ferrol Sams is one of those rare artists who, through his amazing words, sings the commonplace, revealing the rich beauty, humor and love that surround us everyday,” said the Rev. Mark Westmoreland, senior minister at FFUMC. “After reading or hearing him, all we can really say is ‘of course’ or maybe ‘Amen.’”

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is at 175 East Lanier Ave., Fayetteville.
