Summit to host dinner, concert
Everyone is invited to a great country dinner and concert on Saturday, Dec. 1 at The Summit Church, 1373 Hwy. 92 S., Fayetteville. Sharron Kay King, an award winning country and gospel artist from Macon, will be in concert following dinner. There is no charge but a love offering will be received for Ms. King. Woolsey’s 5K for Missions will be Dec. 1

Christmas Fair at St. Andrew’s Dec. 1
The St. Andrew’s Fine Art & Craft Christmas Fair, Saturday, Dec. 1, will feature more than 20 juried vendors showing hand-smocked children’s clothing, art gourds, jewelry, hand made soaps and lotions, pottery, art glass, angel decor, fine art, textiles, wood sculpture, handmade chocolates and candies, and more. The fair is held in conjunction with the Episcopal Church Women’s (ECW) bazaar, bake sale and golden elephant. The fair is open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parish hall, 316 N. The event will feature a bake sale, homemade jams and jellies, woodworking, hand-crafted gifts of all kinds, gently used items, books, toys and much more. Blue Christmas, Advent services set at COS
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City invites the community to seasonal services to help prepare for Christmas. The Blue Christmas Service on Mon., Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. is for anyone, but especially for those who experience sadness or loss during the season. Readings, prayers and music by the Christ Our Shepherd Flute Choir are chosen to help bring peace and comfort. Midweek Advent Services are scheduled for Dec. 5, 12, and 19, at 7 p.m. These 30-minute worship opportunities will feature three characters of Advent.
New Hope’s ‘Living Tree’ is Dec 4-9
Performances of New Hope Baptist Church’s annual “Living Christmas Tree” start Tuesday, Dec. 4 with a ticketed dress rehearsal at 7 p.m. Performances follow each evening at 7 p.m. through Dec. 9, with two matinee performances planned for Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9 at 3 p.m. Tickets are required but are free and may be obtained at the door. Prayer vigil is Dec. 7-8 in Fayetteville
Apostle Sandra Broughton and the Fully Delivered Ministries family will host the 9th Annual 24 Hour Prayer Vigil beginning Friday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. The group will be in prayer continually from Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. until Saturday Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Visitors can attend for the full 24 hours or any portion. NHBC will present Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’
National Heights Baptist Church’s Sanctuary Choir and Friends will present Vivaldi’s “Gloria” on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. This special Christmas musical presentation will include a full chorus and soloist with organ accompaniment, and will be followed by a reception in the fellowship hall for all worshipers. Holy Trinity to host Advent Mission
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City will host its Advent Mission Dec. 17-19 at 7 p.m. nightly, featuring Fr. Kevin McDonald, C. Ss. R. from Woburn, Mass. and Padre Thomas Martin Deely, C.Ss. R. of Pittcburgh, Pa. McDonald presently is assigned to the Redemptorist Community in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Deely currently works for Reaping the Harvest, a ministry dedicated to migrant workers in Esopus, N.Y. There will be childcare and a community social each night. Holy Trinity is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Walt Banks Road.
Real Life Center needs donations
The Real Life Center, which operates a food pantry, has a continuous need for food/pantry items. Donations can be dropped off at the Real Life Center, 382 Senoia Rd., Tyrone, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - noon, and Thursday evenings from 5-7 p.m. The center is sponsored and supported by several churches in the area.
