Officers are searching for the man who robbed the Quick Trip convenience store in north Fayette County at gunpoint just after midnight Wednesday.

Fayette County Sheriff’s spokesman Josh Shelton said deputies at approximately 12:30 a.m. responded to an armed robbery at the Quick Trip on Ga. Highway 85 North.

Shelton said a black male with a grey beard estimated to be approximately 5 feet, 8 inches in height and weighing approximately 210 pounds came into the store and demanded cash from the clerk.

The suspect pointed a pistol at the clerk as he made his demands, Shelton said. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a white T-shirt, black jacket, and blue jeans.

After taking the cash he left the store and drove away in a small blue passenger car.

Anyone with information pertaining to the robbery is asked to contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 770-461-6353.

It is time to bring back so good ole technology. Stake Out in stores and restuarants with orders to shoot and kill. The only message that the THUGS understand. Let them spin the wheel to see if the particular business is occupied by undercover Police. Mr robber, "come on down, you are the next contestant for Live or Die." Let them finally use what little brain they have to see if it is worth the effort. I know that some store employees lost their lives over a small amount of money. Criminals only think of themself anyway. Chootem I say. Then place a sign on the door that says "NEXT".

They need to give Fayetteville, from the Pavillion northbound on GA 85 to Riverdale - it's just pure ghetto.
