Collecting toys for families in need

Members of Peachtree City Girl Scout Troop 342 and CERT team members joined Peachtree City Police Nov. 26 in the Walmart parking lot for the department’s annual “Light up the Night“ toy drive for local families in need. Citizens may also make donations of unwrapped new toys or cash in person at the police department at 350 Ga. Highway 74 South Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Light up the Night locations will include Walmart on Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 10-12 from 5-9 p.m. and at the Kedron Target on Dec. 4 and 7, also from 5-9 p.m. Photo/Ben Nelms.
