The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stephens of Fayettville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hammonds of Luthersville, Mrs. Imogene Barker of Sharpsburg, and the late Arvell Stephens of Fayetteville. She is a graduate of Sandy Creek High School and Auburn University. She is currently as an account executive employed with Atelier Creative Services, Inc. in New York City.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson Jr. of Bluefield, Va. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson Sr, of Atlanta, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter of Bristol, Va. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia. He is currently a vice president with the Fortress Investment Group in New York City.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory taffeta strapless Vera Wang gown, with a folded neckline and corset back. She carried a heirloom Bible with a bouquet of white anemones.
Ashley Teffeau, of Fayetteville served as matron of honor. bridesmaids were Carter Johnson, sister of the groom, of Bluefield, Va; Amy Frakes of Huntsville, Ala.; Julie Johnston of Tampa, Fla.; and Sara Beth Rigby of New York, N.Y.
Joshua Johnson of Roanoke, Va., the grooms brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Joshua Stephens, of Atlanta; Eric Borzino of New York, N.Y.; Terrance DeGray of Richmond, Va.; and Nigel Glenday of New York, N.Y.
The ring bearer was Alexander Johnson, of Roanoke, Va., nephew of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hibernian Society Hall in Charleston, S.C.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson honeymooned in the Fiji Islands and Australia. They now reside in New York City.
