Sandy Creek Class AAA championship game live blog

Quintez Williams talks about his game-winning fumble recovery here:

6:48 p.m. - Carrollton looked like they were going in - ball knocked loose and Quintez Williams recovers for Patriots. 1:59 to go, Creek has it on their nine yard line.

6:39 - Carrollton is piling up the yards and putting together some drives. Can the Patriots continue to bend and not break?

6:29 p.m. - Gutsy call by Carrollton on 4th and from Creek 9. They go, pass the ball and miss. Creek ball on own 11 to start 4th quarter.

6:20 p.m. - Another interception by Hilton (a junior) - this one in the endzone to prevent a touchdown. Creek fumbled on next drive though and Carrollton recovered on Patriot 29.

6:14 p.m. Bell scrambles 3rd and 12, avoids sack deep in their territory, pass is intercepted by Josh Barge - worked like a punt.

6:09 p.m. - We're back. Trojans get one first down and then stall. Punt almost blocked. Creek ball on their own 22.

5:39 p.m. - Score is 14-7 at the half.

5:37 p.m. Carrollton scores on a 37 yard pass from AJ Barge to Josh Barge. 14-7 Patriots 36 seconds left in half.

5:28 p.m. - Carrollton had a nice drive going, 60 yards, three first downs, converted 4th and 3. Until Mike Hilton intercepted a pass on the three yard line and ran it back to the Sandy Creek 12. 2:57 to go in the half. A touchdown drive here would be nice.

5:15 p.m. - Big plays from Chisum and Alexander on that drive. Alexander finishes it with 7 yard touchdown run.

5:04 p.m - 7-0 after one quarter. Carrollton has it 3rd and 13 on own 19 to start second.

4:59 p.m. - Carrollton goes for it 4th and 6 on SC 32 and misses pass. Creek ball, 2:41 left in first quarter.

4:52 p.m. - Bell runs 3 yards on QB keeper for first points of game. Sandy Creek 7 Carrollton 0.

4:47 p.m. - Good defensive stand, Dukes runs big punt back to Carrollton 42.

4:43 p.m. - First play a 29 yard pass to Bruce Dukes, after that...not much. Punt to Carrollton 10.

4:36 p.m. - This one's about to kickoff. Creek will receive.
