2013 Garden Tour and Sale date announced

The Fayette Master Gardener Association announced Lynn Amos (left) and Suzette Walston as the co-chairs for their 2013 Garden Tour.  The event will be held on Saturday, May 4, along with a plant sale.  Master Gardener Volunteers will be at each venue to lead you through the gardens, answer any of your gardening questions, and of course have a variety of healthy plants ready for purchase.  For more information please contact the Fayette County Extension Office, which is under the leadership of UGA, at 770-305-5153. The Georgia Department of Labor announced this week that the unemployment rate in the Three Rivers region in July was 7.1 percent, up five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.6 percent in June.
