Victor Sanchez

Victor Sanchez, 73, Fayetteville, died Dec. 16, 2009. He had served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He began his career with Pan Am in the 1960’s and retired from Delta Airlines in 2001. Services were at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Jonesboro with the Rev. Father John Koziol officiating. Interment was at The Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers.

Survivors include his wife Julie Sanchez, with whom he would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve; a son, Victor R. Sanchez; daughters, Darleen and Greg Jones, Beth and Bill Robins, and Lynn Kido; grandchildren, Brandon, Shelby, Tucker, Keely, Will, and Levi; a brother, Eugene Sanchez; and nephews, Jeremy and Andrew.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St Jude Children’s Hospital. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
