Twilight holding auditions in January

The Twilight Theatre in Peachtree City will be holding auditions for its upcoming productions of “Broadway by Candlelight” and Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” over the next couple of weeks.

“Broadway by Candlelight” is a Broadway review performed entirely by candlelight that Twilight does every year on Valentine’s Day. “This will be the third year we have offered the show, and it’s become an audience favorite. We perform songs about love, but not all of them are your traditional lovey-dovey type,” says Alison Chambers, Twilight’s Artistic Director and the director of the show. “Expect a night full of wonderful music, beautiful ambience, and a delicious dessert.” Black tie optional, the show dates are February 14, 18, 19, and 20 at 8 p.m.

Auditions for the production are open to ages 15 and up and will take place Saturday and Sunday, January 8 and 9 by appointment. For audition requirements and information, please visit the Twilight website,

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, directed by Amanda Lindsey, will take the stage on April 1, 2, 3, 15, 16, and 17. Auditions will be Monday and Tuesday, January 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. at the Fayetteville First Methodist Church. Roles are available from ages 8 and up, with a lot of good parts for older teens and adults. Families are encouraged to audition together.
