Help welcome Home Lt. Dan Berschinski on Memorial Day Weekend

All of Fayette County is invited to help welcome Lt. Dan Berschinski home on Saturday, May 29.

Over 400 people have signed up to participate in the All American 5K that, and we’re hoping to line the route from Fayetteville to Peachtree City with residents to show their support to Dan during the motorcade. A full schedule of events is below:

SATURDAY, MAY 29
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

8:00 a.m. – All American 5K
Participants will meet at the parking lot of the Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater (McIntosh Trail in Peachtree City) beginning at 7:00 a.m., with the race beginning at 8:00 a.m. Runners, walkers, and ghost Runners welcome. $25 registration fee will be donated to the Lt. Dan Berschinski Fund. Race Registration Form at www.ptcrc.com.

11:50 a.m. – Motorcycle Motorcade from Fayetteville to Peachtree City
Great South Harley-Davidson and the Patriot Guard Riders will escort Lt. Dan from Fayette County High School to Peachtree City City Hall. Show your support along the route with American Flags (downtown Fayetteville is also decking the square with yellow ribbons)!

1:00 p.m. – Welcome Home Ceremony at City Hall in Peachtree City
Speakers will include Lt. Dan himself, Mayor Haddix, Commissioner Eric Maxwell, Colonel Brien Lein, and Master Sgt. Chuck Buckle.

7:30 p.m. – Patriotic Concert at The Fred
The Army Ground Forces Band will play, with opening remarks by Lt. General Thomas Miller, Commanding General of the First Army at Ft. Gillem. There will be a video about Lt. Dan and remarks by Dan and his brother Rob. There will also be a scrolling tribute to Fayette County residents and family members who are currently serving or have served in our armed forces. Residents may submit the name a loved one who is serving or has served at www.peachtree-city.org under “PTC Honors its Troops” by Friday, May 21. This is a free concert, and the whole community is welcome!
