What I Will be doing for 9-11

Carolyn Cary's picture

This is what I Will be doing to honor the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11th:

I Will pray for those family members who were left motherless, fatherless, brother-less, sister-less from the deaths of nearly 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001.

I Will continue to be a volunteer in my community.

I Will spend the day thinking about all the friends and acquaintances I have lost this year.

I Will pray for the safety of our men and women in military uniform.

I Will pray for those first responders who worked at Ground Zero and now have cancer.

I Will pray for those decision makers who can see they get the proper medical treatment, at no cost to the first responders.

I Will call each of my grandchildren and tell them how much I love them.

I Will go out of my way to be nice to that person Sunday morning that I’m not especially fond of.

I Will make a donation to an organization in Fayette County that I have not heretofore supported.

I Will make sure there’s a flag flying in front of my house.

I Will spend this Sunday quietly and in contemplation.

This is what I Will do.

May I ask what You Will do?

Men are simple. They are not all that complex. Some time ago, a lady came to me to rant about her husband. “My husband never helps me with things that need to be done around the house!
