18-year-old FCHS student charged with molestation

A Fayette County High School student was arrested Dec. 14 on charges of aggravated child molestation in connection to an incident that occurred two years ago at the home of relatives.

Terryne “Tank” S. Harris, 18, of Creekview Trail in Fayetteville, was charged with aggravated child molestation, according to Fayette County Sheriff’s spokesman Josh Shelton.

Shelton said the case involves an incident two years ago when Harris is alleged to have sodomized a relative under 10 years of age. Harris at that time lived with relatives at their east Fayette County residence where the incident occurred, Shelton said.

The incident came to light recently when the victim made the initial outcry, Shelton said. The matter was investigated and a warrant was issued for the arrest, said Shelton.

Harris was arrested Dec. 14 at Fayette County High School.
